MLP Headcanons (READ DESCRIPTION)

So...this came up suddenly, I am ALL for headcanons, though I'll admit I haven't delved that much with My Little Pony lately due to a lack of interest, but I always was fascinated in the many different interpretations I've seen on the Internet (to the point sometimes I would get inspired by them for any possible headcanons that could work). Especially in a cast this colorful.

This is pretty limited since I do have possible different headcanons such as clothes and general body type, and I didn't want to alter the bases too much so I left that alone.

The first row is just the default characters for reference of the change.


The second row is the one I tend to dabble with most for just about every humanization I've done. I'll admit the skin colors being roughly the same as the ponies' coats was something I gradually warmed up to in the Equestria Girls spinoff, but I'd be lying if I didn't say it always seemed like a strange idea to give them the Doug treatment. I don't really know what races/ethnicities to make them though.

I always thought Applejack would be the easiest since her coat is close to a skin color, and I think it would make a lot of sense for her to be tan, considering she works outside a lot.


The third row takes things a couple steps forward, by giving (most of) them normal-colored hair and eyes. I don't delve into the realism aspect by giving everybody normal-colored hair and eyes since it seems a bit limiting at times, but it's interesting nonetheless. However, I did decide some of them would actually have dyed hair, because I was troubled with the ones who had multiple different colors.

Twilight has a couple magenta streaks.

Sunset would actually have dark-red hair, but dyes it all much brighter with the yellow streaks. And her eyes are a little darker compared to canon.

Rainbow Dash however, is probably the most difficult to pin down for what natural hair color she'd have, but I do contemplate her being brunette or a dirty-blonde. I still gave her the rainbow hair, but desaturated the colors a bit.
